While Rosie says Oprah and Gayle are gay... a reporter asks what we've all been wondering.
One reporter dared to go where others fear to tread: Are Gayle King and Oprah are in a romantic relationship? (And on the red carpet, of all places!)


Sure, we've all wondered and speculated. In fact, Rosie O'Donnell went so far as to assume the two are secretly together last month on the Howard Stern Show. According to Hollyscoop.com, O'Donnell pointed out that Gayle and Oprah's roadtrip is "as gay as it gets." Says Rosie:

"I don't know. I think [Oprah's] never been married and she's exceptionally close to Gayle. I don't know that she and Gayle are necessarily doing each other but I think they are the emotional equivalent of…"


But back to the new news... last night at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards in New York City, a reporter asked Gayle if the two were together. Her reply? We have to say, it was smart... and believeable.

"The thing [is], if we were gay, we would tell you. We would so tell you. We wouldn't try to keep that a secret because there's nothing wrong with being gay. So if we were, we would tell you. The truth of the matter is we're not. It's hard enough for me to get a date on a Saturday night as it is."


We like that answer. We believe it. And the fact that Gayle needs for a date on a Saturday night only makes her more genuine.
