Pepsi, after long known history of utilizing hot-bod women in their advertising campaigns - Brit Brit, Beyonce, etc - further alienates women drinkers and targets men some more by launching an app that's well, kind of scum-baggy.
The application works by breaking women down in to 24 set types. Once a man identifies the "type" of woman he's after, it provides him with tips on getting her to sleep with him, giving helpful hints like directions to hotel rooms and links to facts that might impress a certain "type," as well as a means for the man to brag about his conquests on Facebook or Twitter. High class, sassafrass! Don't you wish your date was gross like me? Don't you wish your date was a creep like me? Don't cha?!
It is an actual and free app that includes a feature called the "brag list" where every successful high-scoring gent can broadcast his conquests in tweets and status updates via Twitter and Facebook. Called "flaunt it," users can detail their score with names, dates and salient points of interest, allowing one's buddies to live through his sexual exploits vicariously.
The reason its called "Amp Up" - that's the name of Pepsi backed energy drink. Think of it as Axe body spray meets unenjoyable liquid form but targeted only towards social networking douchebags who give Facebook and Twitter a bad name.
